Start your time in Nashville before the show with a stroll down Lower Broadway, hang out at a Honky Tonk and take it all in. Even if twangy accents aren’t your thing, the Country Music Hall of Fame and the world-renowned Grand Ole Opry are two places you can’t miss, though Jack White’s Third Man Records is another music attraction worth checking out. Don’t forget that Nashville is also home to a thriving food and drink scene. The city’s restaurants, breweries, wineries and distilleries are guaranteed to fill you up with tons of great memories to share at home.

If you came to Nashville hungry, you definitely won’t leave in the same state. Load up on meat and three at Katie’s or Arnold’s Country Kitchen and ponder why everyone else stops at two sides. Warm up from the January cold with hot chicken from Prince’s, Pepperfire or one of the other area mainstays. The city’s vibrant neighborhoods might make you ask yourself if there are outdoor wonders nearby, of which there are plenty to explore, even in January. Bundle up and get some fresh air at one of Nashville’s 108 parks or 19 greenways.
